FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Talk to an Advisor
How do I enter my locker address when buying on Amazon, Walmart, Shein, or Temu?
When you sign up at /crear-casilleros, you receive your unique code (e.g., SNG-004821). Simply enter your Name + SNG Code in the Name field or Address Line 2 of your chosen warehouse (Miami, China, Spain, or Mexico) so we identify your parcel the moment it arrives.
Is it really free to open the locker and combine multiple boxes?
Completely free. We charge no membership fee, annual fee, or surcharge for combining purchases from different stores into one box. You only pay for freight when you dispatch your shipment.
What happens if the item I ordered online arrives wrong at the Miami or China warehouse?
That is one of the biggest advantages of buying through us: we inspect the order when it arrives at our origin warehouse, and if the store sent the wrong size or model, we handle the exchange or return right there before shipping to Venezuela.
Can I send documents from Venezuela to Spain, the US, Mexico, or China?
Yes. Our International Courier route operates bi-directionally: both for bringing envelopes and parcels into Venezuela and for shipping documents and packages from our Venezuelan offices abroad.
Why do you split shipments between IPOSTEL (0 to 30 kg) and DOMESA (30+ kg)?
Because this ensures strict compliance with Venezuelan postal regulations for parcels up to 30 kg (via IPOSTEL) while guaranteeing heavy-freight infrastructure for bundles over 30 kg (via DOMESA and our own fleet).
What risks do I avoid by hiring transport with active RACDA and RESQUIM permits?
You avoid vehicle and cargo impoundment at highway checkpoints, environmental fines, and supply chain halts when moving chemical inputs, lubricants, paints, batteries, or controlled substances.
How long can I keep my cargo in the warehouse while waiting for my other suppliers?
You can receive partial deliveries from multiple suppliers at our Miami, China, Spain, or Mexico warehouses with no consolidation fee while we complete your lot to ship in a single dispatch.
At what volume does a Full Container (FCL) become more cost-effective than LCL Consolidation?
Generally, once your cargo exceeds 15 to 18 cubic meters (m³), booking a dedicated 20-foot container (which holds ~28–33 m³) becomes more cost-effective per cubic meter than LCL consolidation. Our advisors run this comparison for you free of charge.
Can I book only the international freight (BL or AWB) if I already have my own customs broker?
Yes. We issue the Bill of Lading (BL) or Air Waybill (AWB) directly with our partner carriers and airlines so your customs broker can handle clearance upon arrival, or we can manage the full door-to-door cycle.
Can you review my invoices before my supplier ships the cargo?
Yes, and we strongly recommend it. Reviewing the Commercial Invoice and Packing List before shipping allows us to refine tariff descriptions and verify permits early, preventing fines once the cargo arrives in Venezuela.
When do I pay duties if my cargo moves under Customs Transit to El Guamache or Guanta?
Duties remain suspended throughout the transfer from the port of entry (e.g., La Guaira or Puerto Cabello) and are settled only when cargo reaches your final destination customs (such as the Free Port regime in El Guamache).
What is the difference between Cabotage and Customs Transit?
Cabotage applies to domestic or already nationalized goods moving between Venezuelan ports (e.g., to Margarita or eastern Venezuela) without triggering new import duties, whereas Customs Transit moves foreign cargo not yet nationalized.
Can I nationalize only part of my merchandise and leave the rest in the In-Bond Warehouse?
Yes. That is the core advantage of the In-Bond regime: you can clear and pay duties on partial batches as you sell your inventory while keeping the remaining stock under tax suspension.
Which companies qualify for Temporary Admission (AT) or Inward Processing (ATP)?
Companies bringing machinery, molds, or equipment for a fixed period for industrial projects or events (AT), as well as manufacturers importing raw materials to process and export finished goods (ATP) under duty suspension.
Which Venezuelan products are you currently exporting through the Export Bridge?
We market and manage the entire logistics and customs chain for commodities such as sesame, coffee, coconut, fish, sardines, and other agro-industrial and marine products to international markets under INCOTERMS.
What happens if your investigation reveals the supplier is not a real factory?
We notify you immediately with documentary and field evidence before you wire any funds, and if you wish, our Procurement team can locate a real, certified manufacturer for that exact product.
What happens if missing or defective units are found during pre-shipment inspection?
We hold the dispatch at our origin warehouse (China, USA, Spain, or Mexico), send you an immediate photo report, and manage the claim or replacement directly with the supplier before shipping to Venezuela.
Can you represent us in an ongoing customs audit or assessment before SENIAT?
Yes. We have a Resident Legal Coordinator in each of our offices and attorneys specialized in the Organic Customs Law and Maritime Law to file administrative and judicial appeals before SENIAT and competent courts.
Can I book an executive transfer or armored SUV coordinated with my flight arrival?
Yes. We monitor your flight itinerary in real time so your chauffeur (and security escort, if requested) meets you punctually at the airport and executes your Airport–Company–Hotel–Home route.
How is Air shipping cost calculated compared to Ocean shipping?
For Air shipments, we compare Actual Mass Weight against Volumetric Weight ((L × W × H in cm) / 5000 or in inches / 166) and bill the greater of the two based on your quadrant (Zone A, B, C, or D). For Ocean shipments, you only pay for volume in Cubic Feet (ft³) or Cubic Meters (m³), regardless of box weight.
When should I ship by air versus by ocean?
If your purchase is light or needed within days (apparel, shoes, phones, small parts), Air is best. If items are heavy or bulky (appliances, large boxes, wholesale lots), Ocean is much more economical because it is billed solely by cubic foot (ft³) regardless of weight.
When do I have to pay customs import duties in Venezuela?
Personal shipments with a declared value up to $100.00 USD qualify for duty exemption under courier/locker regulations. If your cargo exceeds $100.00 USD or is a commercial import, our calculator automatically alerts you and a customs advisor quotes the exact tariff prior to dispatch.
What if I don't have an international card or want to buy in physical stores in Orlando, Miami, or Yiwu?
You can use our Assisted Shopping service by sending us the product links so we purchase them for you, or book one of our on-site Personal Shoppers in Orlando, Miami (USA), or Yiwu (China) to visit the store and shop live with you via video call.
How does the Domestic Parcel and Cash on Delivery (COD) service work in Venezuela?
We dispatch parcels across all 4 national quadrants: shipments from 0 kg to 30 kg operate under our official postal license with IPOSTEL, and cargo over 30 kg moves in alliance with DOMESA and our proprietary 24/7 GPS-tracked fleet.
Do you offer cargo insurance to protect my merchandise in transit?
Yes. We offer cargo insurance coverage ranging from 3% to 5% of the declared commercial invoice value, backing 100% of your merchandise value from the moment it enters our origin warehouse until final delivery.
